Just started playing over the holiday break. Nothing like a few quick competitive rounds to spice up family meet ups.

The closest I have come to being a turn based card game enthusiast was ‘Top Trumps’ back in school. This takes that idea and adds the element of thermonuclear war to the mix.

I always base games on how much my children want to play them. Since arriving in a sturdy box after what seemed to be very quick delivery from Australia, my children and I have played roughly 10 games, my youngest (who is 11) is the most enthusiastic to ask me to play with him but it took him the longest to digest the rules. My eldest (who is 17) took to the game like a Soviet general in a vodka factory and has had it in college earlier this week for his gaming club where it went down a storm apparently.

I have the main base game and one of the expansion pack’s. It would be good if the included countries could be bought separately to build your own custom pack but I know this is probably not financially viable for the seller!!

Great fun for the whole family.

Let's start with how the cards arrived. I find a small brown box on my doorstep. Upon inspection it has some retro, cold-war era, postage stamps from Egypt, Paris, Soviet Union and Cuba. I'm impressed. Then upon opening, I'm impressed further with printed out news papers from 1954 featuring some very apt cold-war stories. Then the card game. The card quality is EXCELLENT. The feel and weight is perfect, and shows the quality and care put into the product. Presentation is A+. The game is fantastic and educational. The cold-war intrigues me, and through this game I have introduced family and friends into a world I have a deep interest for. Definitely getting the expansion set. Pro-tip, buy this game! Bravo!

Reminiscent of my favourite parts of Monopoly Deal, poker, YuGiOh and Advance Wars on the Gameboy with a stunning retro 1960s style. So good!!

Great card game for the family and friends. Very easy to learn the game and its dynamics. Exciting and addictive game and also very educational for the kids and adults. Actually makes history lessons fun! Highly recommend this card game.

Great fun game. Great to play with friends or family. As the name suggests doesn't take too long so you can play once or have a bunch of rounds.

Super fun. Super addictive. And super educational in away you don’t even realize until you have finished hours of fun. Great for families, and alternatively great as game with adults. I don’t normally write reviews… but Genuinely Awesome.

What a great way to learn about the Cold War! I managed to get my teenage sons involved and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The cards have amazing historical shots from Fidel Castro to Kennedy it is all there. It also tested our strategy skills. Highly recommend!

We had so much fun playing 15 min Cold War. The cards are beautifully designed and the game is so well thought out. Great for a quick after dinner game and definitely got our competitive juices flowing! This game has also definitely brushed up my Cold War facts, highly recommend!
